Wakefield's Ireland international centre Sean Gleeson has become Salford's eighth signing for 2011.

The 22-year-old's move was confirmed shortly after he made his final appearance for the Wildcats in their 18-12 defeat by Salford in the last match of Super League season at The Willows.

Gleeson, who has signed a two-year deal, is the Reds' second recruit from the Wildcats following the capture of hooker Tevita Leo-Latu and they will join Stephen Wild, Luke Patten, Chris Nero, Vinnie Anderson, Iafeta Paleaessina and Phil Bailey at a new-look Salford in 2011.

Salford director of football Steve Simms said: "We have had to wait for this game to be over today to complete the signing of Sean but he is yet another player who is going to bring exciting rugby to The Willows next season."
