Relegated Reading axe six as they prepare for the Championship

13 April 2012

Relegated Reading have begun their preparations for life in the Coca-Cola Championship by offering new deals to four players and releasing six others.

Glen Little, Michael Duberry, Ben Hamer and Scott Davies are all out of contract this summer but have been offered terms to stay by boss Steve Coppell.

Looking ahead: Reading boss Steve Coppell has let six players leave the club after relegation

However, John Oster, Ulises De La Cruz, John Halls, Graham Stack, Adam Bygrave and Aaron Brown will all leave the Madejski as their contracts have come to an end.

"I would like to place on record my thanks to all of the players who will be moving on," director of football Nick Hammond told the club's website, www.readingfc.co.uk.

"They have all shown great professionalism, and we wish them all the very best for the future."
