'Reyes interested in Real move'

14 April 2012

Arsenal forward Jose Antonio Reyes' agent has admitted Real Madrid have always been interested in the player.

Reyes joined Arsenal just over a year ago and enjoyed an outstanding start to this season.

However, his recent drop in form has led to speculation that he is struggling to settle in London and that has prompted talk of a deal that could see him move to Madrid with Michael Owen going the other way.

Reyes' agent Jaime Rodriguez said: "It was a long time, around eight years ago, when they first showed an interest and now the rumours are starting up again."

Rodriguez implied that Reyes would be delighted to return to Spain.

"It is an honour for Reyes that Real Madrid are interested in him, but they know what his situation is and what is the path they have to follow.

"If the clubs can reach an agreement there will be no problem," he said.
