Robbie hands out a warning for Ireland

Robbie Keane is adamant the Republic of Ireland's efforts against France must not go to waste when they face the Faroe Islands on Wednesday.

Ireland produced a disciplined and organised display under manager Brian Kerr in holding the French to a goalless World Cup qualifying draw in Paris.

With five points from their opening three matches, along with France, Switzerland and Israel, the Irish are likely go top of Group Four with a comfortable victory over the Faroes.

Tottenham striker Keane said: "We worked our socks off against France and deserved a point but it will mean nothing if we don't beat the Faroes."
