Australian winger Amos Roberts marked his Super League comeback with a brace of tries as Wigan warmed up in impressive fashion for next Sunday's World Club Challenge against his old St George Illawarra team-mates with a 44-10 win at Bradford.

Roberts, who missed much of last season with a knee injury and sat out last week's opening draw with St Helens to attend the birth of his son, quickly made up for lost time as the defending champions cruised to their first win of the season in front of a 15,348 crowd at the Grattan Stadium.

Recalled in place of youngster Josh Charnley, Roberts took George Carmont's pass after just 10 minutes to cross for his first try since last June and added a second after the break to snuff out a brief Bradford fightback.

Luke Dorn was the Harlequins hero with two tries as the Londoners maintained their unbeaten start to the Engage Super League season with a hard-fought 20-18 victory over Crusaders.

Dorn struck in each half to push Quins to victory in a match that was in the balance right up to the final hooter. With persistent rain and a pitch that was cutting up badly after the Quins' union side had played on it just 24 hours earlier, a try bonanza never really looked on the cards.

Luke Gale scored the opening try for the Londoners and also added three conversions, while Jarrod Sammut scored a brace for Crusaders, who also saw Ben Flower crossing over, with Clinton Schifcofske adding two conversions.

A try from Warrington's new Australian full-back Brett Hodgson three minutes from time gave the Wolves a dramatic late 24-22 victory in a thrilling battle with Hull KR at the Halliwell Jones stadium.

Warrington were trailing 22-18 when the Wolves finally found a way through a tremendous Rovers rearguard action in the closing stages of an entertaining encounter. A crisp passing movement along the line ended with stand off Lee Briers sending Hodgson crashing over to level the scores at 22-22.

Hodgson, signed from Huddersfield Giants this season, then kept his nerve to land the tricky conversion to the right of the posts and give Warrington their first win of the new Super League campaign.
