Robinson ready for emotional farewell

12 April 2012

Sale Sharks star Jason Robinson has prepared himself for an emotional Edgeley Park send-off when he lines up against Guinness Premiership visitors Bath on Friday night.

Robinson will end his club career before turning his attention to England's World Cup defence later this year.

"It will be an emotional occasion saying goodbye to the Sale Sharks supporters at the game," he said. "They have built in numbers and followed us loyally over the last seven seasons, and I wanted my last club game to be at Edgeley Park to say goodbye."

He added: "I have many special memories of my playing career, playing with and against the best players in both codes, winning trophies with England, Wigan and Sale Sharks."
