Rob's men catch up 19-point deficit

Newcastle pulled back a 19-point firstleg deficit against Treviso to set up a quarter-final against Saracens in the Parker Pen Challenge Cup.

Rob Andrew's men, down 27-8 after last week's game in Italy, produced a rousing 35-5 win at Kingston Park to take the second-round tie. They didn't look back after Hugh Vyvyan scored an early try, and Vyvyan and Ian Peel went on to score two apiece.

Saracens booked their quarter-final place with a 30-19 win away to Colomiers on Saturday. Wasps enjoyed a comfortable aggregate win over Bordeaux-Begles but Leeds went out after a 19-19 second-leg draw against Pontypridd for a 56-42 aggregate loss.
