The future of London Broncos is up in the air after the beleaguered Super League club announced they are going into administration.

The club have been the subject of speculation since leaving the Twickenham Stoop at the end of this season.

It was feared David Hughes, who has bankrolled the club for a decade ago, would withdraw his support after failing to receive guarantees over the club’s Super League status, following the decision to reinstate promotion and relegation from the end of next season.

The Broncos were this week included in the 2014 fixture list but the move to go into administration has given the saga a twist.

Tony Kleanthous, chairman of Conference Premier football side Barnet, has said he is in talks with the Broncos over a move to The Hive.
