Stags maintained their table-topping charge with another convincing win, running in 12 tries to gain revenge over the only side to beat them so far this year.
The visitors started impressively, Ash Fyson just putting Chris Money in touch before the tables were turned, Barry Jon Swindells and Eddie M’Baraga carving out the opportunity for Fyson to cross.
Moving the ball to the right, quick hands then saw winger Chris Woods in space to register the Stags’ second touchdown, Ryan Butcher goaling.
Nottingham put the re-start out on the full and Hemel extracted maximum punishment when BJ Swindells found the line.
Another break by M’Baraga and off load saw Christian Champion profit to make it 18-0 in as many minutes.
Tim Thompson-Essex was re-called for a forward pass and Will Reeve just spilled an opportunity for the Outlaws on the counter.
On the half hour, M’Baraga charged over from Butcher’s long pass, Butcher adding the extras, the scrum half having his own claims for a try overruled for a double movement.
Right on half time Ryan Chester’s pass to BJ Swindells on half way was deemed flat and the veteran custodian cantered in for his second to make it 30-0 at the break.
Ben Kavanagh was impressive for the hosts at the start of the second period, Jimmy Phillips crossing to extend the lead and Will Ephraim was just held short as Nottingham attacked purposefully.
M’Baraga broke their spell with a try from a penalty and he completed his hat trick seven minutes later latching on to a Thompson-Essex pass.
After some sustained Nottingham pressure, Tristram Treham forced his way over but Stags finished strongly, Phillips sprinting 70 metres for a solo effort and Kavanagh sending in Champion.
Two minutes from time Champion turned provider, setting up BJ Swindells for his treble.
