Dan Biggar 'ready to go' as Wales struggle to curb 'world-class' fly-half ahead of France quarter-final

Wales are struggling to curb fit-again Dan Biggar's appetite for training as they prepare for Sunday’s World Cup quarter-final against France.

Biggar has left the field with head injuries in his last two matches but is one of three key backs set to return from injury against Les Bleus, alongside George North and Jonathan Davies.

"Curbing him is very difficult," kicking coach Neil Jenkins said.

"He's a competitor, full stop. He's a winner. He's a very physical rugby player, he gets stuck in.

“He's done everything that's been asked of him constantly and consistently and he's ready to go. He's desperate to play.

"He's world-class and he'll be ready to go again, there's no doubting that.”

Jenkins said his team were under no illusions about the do-or-die task ahead of them.

“You don't get another chance after this, plain and simple,” he said. “You are on your way home, so you need to take your chances and you need to be clinical.

"When they do come along, take them when they come on offer.

“You either turn up or you are going home. There is no other way about it.”
