Jackson Wray will become just the fifth player to reach 300 Saracens appearances in Saturday’s Gallagher Premiership clash with Bristol.

Flanker Wray will join Alex Goode, Kris Chesney, John Buckton and Kevin Sorrell in Saracens’ 300 club, with boss Mark McCall hailing the 32-year-old's major milestone.

“It’s a remarkable achievement,” said McCall.

“He’s only the second person in 15 years to have achieved that, and the fifth person in Saracens’ history.

“Jackson’s always been here for these periods, but then he’s also played in six Premiership finals and four European Cup finals.

“He’s the sort of glue player that every club needs, over a long period of time.

“He’s a phenomenal player for us, and to reach 300 caps is incredible.

“These Test window periods are some of the most satisfying we’ve had, when we’re seen as vulnerable because of missing players or whatever. It’s when the team usually rallies together.”
