Scotland vs England: Six Nations player ratings

Eddie Jones overcame a tricky opening test at Murrayfield as he got his England reign off to a winning start with a 15-9 RBS Six Nations victory over Scotland.

The Australian saw his side claim the Calcutta Cup thanks to tries from George Kruis and Jack Nowell in either half.

England played some adventurous rugby but it was far from a perfect display as they were made to battle by a determined Dark Blues side.

But it is another hard-luck story for the Scots - who have now gone 12 years without scoring a try on home soil against the Auld Enemy and eight since their last victory over England.

All they could only manage was three Greig Laidlaw penalties as they came up short once again.

But who stood out? Scroll through our player ratings in the gallery above to find out, then vote for your Six Nations champions in our poll below.
