Bristol Bears have pulled off a major coup by signing Fiji wing Semi Radradra on a three-year deal.

Radradra was one of the stand-out players at the World Cup in Japan, even though his side failed to exit the pool stage.

The 27-year-old, who plays for Bordeaux, picked up two man-of the-match awards in four games and made 400 metres’ worth of breaks. He will join the Bears ahead of next season.

“I’m looking forward to coming to the Premiership and to be playing under Pat Lam at Bristol Bears,” said Radradra, who scored a try against Edinburgh in the European Challenge Cup last week.

“They are one of the most exciting teams in Europe right now and the way that they are doing things is making everybody take notice.

“I visited the world-class facilities at Ashton Gate and saw the progress of the new training ground — it’s a fantastic club to be joining with a bright future. I can’t wait to get started and contributing to the Bristol Bears vision.”

Director of Rugby Lam said: “For us to be able to bring in a player of Radradra’s quality underlines the fantastic work that the club is doing.”
