Young is Wasps favourite

David Young is now favourite to be the new director of rugby at London Wasps after Paul Turner - the former Newport Gwent Dragons chief - failed to get the job.

The Cardiff Blues head coach won 51 Welsh caps and toured with the Lions three times.

Leon Holden was Wasps' short-term director of rugby before moving to a club in Japan and took over after another New Zealander, Tony Hanks, stood down midway through last season.
