Sackey's the best in Europe, says coach Edwards

Wing man: Paul Sackey scores a superb try against Newcastle last night as Wasps stayed on track for the Premiership title

London Wasps head coach Shaun Edwards hailed Paul Sackey as "the best winger in Europe" after his awesome display in the 32-13 victory at Newcastle which kept the club on course for the play-offs.

The England star finished off a 100metre try as Wasps clinched a bonus-point victory to move to third in the Guinness Premiership table.

Edwards, who, as Wales's defence coach, also faced Sackey in this season's Six Nations, said: "I'm sticking my neck out but he's the best winger in Europe.

"It's between him and Shane Williams. He's come on in leaps and bounds and turned all that potential into the real deal."
