Sadlier plays through the pain

13 April 2012

Millwall manager Mark McGhee has praised striker Richard Sadlier for playing through the pain of a hip injury.

The 17-goal forward is desperate to help Millwall's play-off push and appeared in both matches over the Easter weekend despite his injury but will delay an operation in a bid to help the club into the Premiership.

McGhee said: "He had an injection two weeks ago which did help a bit, but he is still feeling pain and I thought he would be out for the rest of the season. He will carry on until the pain becomes unbearable because he wants to contribute."
