Everton boss David Moyes has confirmed that striker Louis Saha has been given permission to discuss a move to Tottenham.

Saha was not included on the teamsheet for Tuesday night's Barclays Premier League win over Manchester City at Goodison Park.

Spurs will hope to conclude a deal before the transfer deadline.

Moyes said: "I would expect it to be completed, I would have no reason not to. It was just an opportunity for Louis and it was something we were happy to do at this moment in time."

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp confirmed he expects the deal to go through, telling Sky Sports News after his team's 3-1 defeat of Wigan: "I like Saha. He's got good movement, can score goals but probably needs a change. He's out of contract at the end of the year so David Moyes has let him go."

One man who may be on his way out of Tottenham is Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Press Association Sport understands that the 30-year-old Russia international is in talks with Lokomotiv Moscow.
