Sarries set to take on super 12s

13 April 2012

Saracens are likely to become the first English club to take on Super 12 opposition in their own season when they tour South Africa this summer.

Sarries chief executive, Francois Pienaar, is currently in his homeland concluding the deal that will see the north London side take on Western Province and either Natal Sharks or Blue Bulls.

Auckland Blues and Otago have conducted tours to Britain in the last three years, but Sarries' trip to South Africa will make them the first side to face them while their season is in full flow.

'I am looking at potential talent and arranging matches for Saracens against Super 12 sides,' confirmed Pienaar.
