Schwarzer saves the day for Fulham

Goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer was Fulham's hero in the goalless draw at Aston Villa.

The Australian was outstanding as Roy Hodgson's team followed up their draw at Liverpool with another resolute display and have now picked up eight points from their last four games.

"It's an impressive sequence of results and that's down to a lot of hard work and discipline," said Hodgson.

"That's the most pressure we have been under for a while. I thought our first-half performance was good in terms of keeping the ball and passing it around, and not just defending."
