Scot test is too much for Wall to shoulder

13 April 2012

Anthony Wall has pulled out of this week's Alfred Dunhill Links Championship as a result of the shoulder injury he suffered last Friday playing for Britain and Ireland in the Vivendi Trophy.

The Londoner won both his fourball games on his debut in the competition against Continental Europe last week but then withdrew from the remainder of the event.

Wall has not recovered in time to play in Scotland where other absentees will include Martin Kaymer and Paul Casey.

Kaymer is recovering from surgery after breaking toes in a go-karting accident while Casey has a rib muscle injury.
