Seve Ballesteros has left intensive care following his fourth brain operation.

The Spanish golf legend, who had a tumour taken out last month, is now back on the wards of Madrid's La Paz hospital after surgery to insert a valve to drain fluid from his brain.

Ballesteros, 51, was allowed home after his third operation but doctors said he still had a long way to go in his recovery.
