Shane Williams bids to end Welsh losing streak

Strong belief: Shane Williams thinks Wales can beat the All Blacks
13 April 2012

Shane Williams insists Wales can defeat New Zealand in Cardiff tomorrow to end a losing run against the All Blacks that stretches back 56 years and 20 matches.

"We believe we are good enough to beat New Zealand," said the Lions wing. "Over the years, teams have progressed and got closer to New Zealand and maybe started thinking they can compete and win.

"You give them the utmost respect, but they are beatable. They know that - but more importantly, we know that now."

Meanwhile, South Africa will help open the new Caterpillar Stand, which increases the capacity at Welford Road from 17,000 to 24,000 against champions Leicester tonight.

Davon Raubenheimer takes the place of Heinrich Brussow and will wear the No7 jersey with Dewald Potgieter switching to six. Jean Deysel has been called up to replace the injured Pierre Spies and has been included on the bench.
