Singh in 'altercation' with police

Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was injured by police during a scuffle today, damaging the elbow of his bowling arm on the eve of India's final limited-over international against Zimbabwe, said a photojournalist who was involved.

Despite the injury he will play tomorrow, said Indian manager Sunil Khanna.

"There was an altercation," Khanna said. "A complaint has been lodged with the district magistrate and he's looking into it."

New Delhi-based news photographer Kamal Sharma told Associated Press that the right-handed spinner was clutching his right elbow after the incident at the hotel where the Indian team was staying.
