Oscar Pistorius was today confirmed in South Africa's team for this summer's Paralympics, although his place at the Olympics is still in doubt.

The double amputee will seek to retain his T44 100, 200 and 400 metres Paralympic titles in London after being included in a 62-strong team named today by the South African Sports Confederation And Olympic Committee.

Pistorius is also bidding to become the first amputee sprinter to compete at the Olympics in the 400m, but needs to run the 'A' standard of 45.30 seconds one more time to make certain of his place.
