Great Britain’s Bryony Page has become a double Olympic medalist after taking bronze in the women’s trampoline final at the Tokyo Games.

Frost won Team GB’s first ever medal in the sport when she earned silver in Rio five years ago and has now added a second to her collection after finishing behind Chinese duo Xueying Zhu and Lingling Liu.

Page was sixth to perform in the eight-woman final and knew she was guaranteed a medal after taking the lead with a score of 55.735.

However, it wasn’t enough to hold on to gold as Zhu scored 56.635 to go into a clear lead.

World no1 Liu was last to perform but could not leapfrog her teammate and was forced to settle for silver with a score of 56.350.

“I am absolutely over the moon,” said coach Paul Greaves.

“I don't care what colour the medal is. It has been such a difficult time for these athletes during this time. Just to get out there and do your best is just phenomenal.”
