Chinese swimming sensation Ye Shiwen sent shockwaves through the sport on Saturday when she smashed the 400m individual medley world record.
The 16-year-old (above) swam the last 50m quicker than Ryan Lochte did when he won gold in the men’s event, prompting suggestions that she had taken performance-enhancing drugs.
Shiwen, who denies the allegations, races in the 200m individual medley final later today.
