Tottenham assistant manager Gustavo Poyet claims his club have "no interest"

But assistant boss Poyet denied spurs were looking to launch a bid for the
Cameroon international, while adding that the club directors would be discussing
their transfer targets for the summer next week.

"Samuel Eto'o is not a priority for our team. Moreover, we're not interested
in him," said Poyet.

He added: "We'll be having a meeting next week to talk about signings, as
we've already made one interesting one for next season."

Tottenham landed young Croatia star Luka Modric from Dinamo Zagreb in a
£16.5million deal.

Last week Barcelona president Joan Laporta admitted that Eto'o may be one of
the star players to leave the club as they look to enter a new era under new
coach Pep Guardiola.
