Still denies Eriksson Premiership talk

12 April 2012

Sven-Goran Eriksson's agent has denied the former England boss has landed a job at a Barclays Premiership club next season.

Athole Still was responding to claims from Eriksson's long-term partner Nancy Dell'Olio that the Swede has ended his managerial exile, which dates back to last summer's World Cup.

Still said in the Daily Telegraph: "It's categorically untrue that there's any agreement for Sven to go to a Premiership club next season."

Dell'Olio had said in an interview with Glamour magazine: "Yes, he's got another job with a Premiership club, which won't start until next season.

"So we'll be staying in Britain, but I can't say any more."

Eriksson is still being paid £6,500 per week by the Football Association as part of his severance deal upon stepping down from the England job.
