Still's fury over Barnet Cup exit

13 April 2012

Barnet manager John Still claimed the goal that knocked his side out of the FA Cup should have been ruled out for offside.

Still's Conference side lost 1-0 at Carlisle last night to Steve Soley's 57th-minute goal but the manager said: "The goal should never have been allowed. But we created enough chances to have won."

Carlisle now play Tranmere in the second round.

Another non-League side, Bedford Town, saw their bid to reach the second round for the first time in 29 years dashed by a 2-1 defeat at Peterborough, former Spurs striker Neale Fenn scoring the winner.
