Sweeping changes but Steve McNamara stays defiant

Coach Steve McNamara slammed talk that England are in crisis despite making no fewer than 11 changes for Sunday's must-win rugby league Four Nations clash against Australia in Melbourne.

After last week's 24-10 loss to New Zealand, Huddersfield duo Shaun Lunt and Leroy Cudjoe and Warrington's Ben Harrison come in for their first caps.

Asked at today's press conference if the squad are in disarray, McNamara said: "I can't believe that comment, it's far from that. We've selected what we think is the right team for this game."
