Taylor looks to Mooney

13 April 2012

Watford manager Graham Taylor is looking to top scorer Tommy Mooney to fire the club into the playoffs. Mooney scored twice in the midweek win over Nottingham Forest to take his season's tally to 19.

Taylor, whose side entertain Crystal Palace tomorrow, said: "Let's hope it gives him the view that the ball will always go in the back of the net every time he hits it."

The former England manager has a full squad to choose from against relegation-threatened Palace.

Palace manager Alan Smith may stick with the defence which has kept consecutive clean sheets.

Latvian winger Andrejs Rubins looks likely to have to settle for a place on the bench. Smith must also decide whether to bring back Dougie Freedman or stick with Clinton Morrison and Mikael Forssell up front.
