Standard Sport1 June 2016

The rain continues to play havoc with the scheduling at Roland Garros even after Parisians were finally able to enjoy some action in the sodden French Open.

Novak Djokovic will be straight back on court on Thursday mere hours after his marathon fourth round tie with Roberto Bautista Agut, which finished at 1:47pm on Wednesday having begun the previous day. He faces seventh seed Tomas Berdych, another rushed back into action after a straight sets victory over David Ferrer in the fourth round.

A host of other quarter-finals must also be completed on Thursday as organisers battle to get the competition back on track, with top seed Serena Williams taking on Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan on the conclusion of the Djokovic-Berdych match.

In the other quarter-finals across the men's and women's draw Dominic Thiem of Austria faces Belgium's David Goffin on Suzanne-Lenglen Court whilst world number 58 Kiki Bertens plays in the last eight of a Grand Slam for the first time. She will be taking on eighth seed Timea Bacsinsky.
