The role of the crowd in creating Wimbledon's special atmosphere is often alluded to with players regularly thanking fans for the energy they bring to the tournament.

And now boffins are using the latest technology to capture and visualise the excitement generated at SW19 this year.

Jaguar’s #FeelWimbledon campaign involves the use of sensors in the ground, wearable biometric wristbands and live data capture to measure and visualise how the audience responds to the action at the All England Club.

Murray's speedy triumph against Dutchman Robin Haase saw excitement levels peak at 2.40pm when the Scot wrapped up the victory and sealed his place in the Third Round.
