Rafael Nadal breezed into his first Wimbledon quarter-final for seven years and admitted he is loving every minute of his run.

The Spaniard beat unseeded Jiri Vesely 6-3 6-3 6-4 on Centre Court to set up a last-eight meeting with Juan Martin del Potro or Gilles Simon.

Clay-court king Nadal, who won an 11th French Open last month, has had trouble moving over to grass in recent years.

He has suffered some harrowing defeats at Wimbledon in that time but appears much more at home this year and has yet to drop a set.

And 10 years on from his memorable win in a classic final against Roger Federer a rematch could be on the cards on Sunday.

This has been only Nadal's third run into the second week since he finished runner-up in 2011, and Vesely never looked like causing him any problems.

After sidestepping warm-up tournaments on the grass following his Roland Garros win, Nadal is pleased with how he is faring.

"I am happy to be in the quarter-finals after so long," he said. "It is an important moment for me, I am happy to be where I am, I am playing well and I am happy to have the chance to play this many games.

"I am enjoying every single day that I have to play here, I've had enjoyable four matches."
