We are all wasting our time watching men’s Wimbledon 2017 as a record eighth win lies in-wait for Roger Federer, according to Wikipedia anyway.

One of the online encyclopaedia’s users, presumably a fan of the seven-time champion, has edited the online webpage to show that Federer will defeat old foe Rafael Nadal in quick fashion, beating him 6-0 6-0 6-1.

The hack did not last long, with the story shortly edit being deleted shortly afterwards and returned back to its original form.

A final of Federer and Nadal would be a mouth-watering affair, and could well come to happen with the two players on opposing sides of the draw.

The pair fought out three consecutive finals between 2006-2008, culminating in one of the best matches SW19 had ever seen when the Spaniard finally got his hands on the trophy after defeating his Swiss opponent 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-7 (8-10), 9-7.

A repeat would be immensely popular with tennis fans, but this one certainly jumped the gun in his attempt to predict the future.
