Terry back for Arsenal clash

Chelsea received a huge boost today with the news that captain John Terry will be fit to face Arsenal next Wednesday.

The England defender damaged his right thigh in a clash with Bastian Schweinsteiger during Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich but his injury is not as bad as was first feared.

Terry had an ultrasound scan yesterday which revealed severe bruising. He will be given intensive treatment at the club over the next few days but is expected to return to full training on Sunday.

While Terry returns to Cobham for treatment, Chelsea's other players have been given two days off, with Jose Mourinho returning to Portugal for a family holiday.
