Chelsea captain John Terry was back in training on Thursday - just hours after his broken metatarsal scare.

Terry hurt his right foot in training on Wednesday but scans showed there was no break. Now the England defender is on course to lead the Blues out in Saturday's FA Cup final against Portsmouth at Wembley, after Chelsea confirmed he was back in training.

A spokesman for Chelsea said: "John Terry has started Thursday morning's final training session at Cobham prior to the FA Cup final. On Friday the squad will train at Wembley."

Victory for Chelsea would earn them an historic league and FA Cup double.
