Castleford recovered from a dreadful start to maintain the only 100% record in Super League with a 34-24 victory over Catalan Dragons.

The Tigers were 10-0 down after eight minutes and trailed 18-12 at half-time but took charge with three tries in a blistering nine-minute spell early in the second half to regain top spot in the table.

Winger Kirk Dixon was an important contributor with a try and five goals as the Tigers continued their best ever start in Super League.

Craig Huby, Stuart Jones, Rangi Chase , Nick Youngquest and Joe Arundel also crossed for the Tigers.

The Dragons' fourth defeat in five games was hard on Aussie scrum-half Scott Dureau, who bagged two tries, created another and kicked four goals.

Damien Blanch and Cyril Stacul grabbed the Dragons' other tries.
