Tottenham v Sunderland

13 April 2012

(3pm Saturday, White Hart Lane).

Tickets: Sold out
Last season: 2 (Sherwood, Armstrong) 1 (Hutchison)
Facts: Sunderland last won a league game at White Hart Lane in April 1978. Tottenham's only two wins from their last nine Premiership games came against bottom-three sides Leicester and Blackburn.
Recommended pub: Antwerp Arms (Church Road)
As resilient as most professional footballers are, I wouldn't imagine there has been too much levity around at Tottenham's training ground this week. The plain fact is that, although they should still have won that Worthington Cup Final, too many of Spurs' stars didn't quite measure up on the day. No doubt, though, that the Spurs backroom staff will have been reminding the players to get their chins off their chests because there's still much left to play for this season.
Verdict: SPURS BACK AND SMILING
