No go: Caroline Wozniacki loses

Caroline Wozniacki suffered a 6-3, 6-3 first-round defeat to Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova at the Sydney International today.

The world No1 lost in straight sets to both Vera Zvonareva and Kim Clijsters in exhibition events in Singapore and Hong Kong last week.

Dane Wozniacki tried to explain her defeat to the world No32 as she said: "It's a bit tough to go from Hong Kong to Sydney and play really well here."
