TV betting launched by Sky

Leo Spall13 April 2012

Sky today launched a new digital service which allows their customers to bet using television remote controls.

Viewers can now have wagers using on-screen controls without changing the channel they are watching.

They will also have access to lots more information about individual football clubs after Sky's text service was revamped today.

A spokesman said: "This service will be available to more than four million people who subscribe to Sky Digital. It is the first of its kind and allows customers to bet as little as 10p and win up to £250,000. The security for it is the same as for on-line or telephone gambling."
