Two-game ban for Hock

12 April 2012

Wigan second row forward Gareth Hock has been handed a two-match ban after being found guilty of making a dangerous tackle in his side's 36-6 defeat by Leeds in last Friday's final eliminator.

Hock, who was placed on report for the suspect challenge on Leeds hooker Matt Diskin, was also fined £500 when he appeared before the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee.

Hock will be able to count one of his club's pre-season friendlies as part of the suspension but he will miss Wigan's opening match of the 2008 engage Super League season.
