Carlos Tevez admits the players were left shaken by the attack on the team bus after the bad-tempered draw at .

The coach carrying all the match-day squad was set upon by a group of men - and a stone was thrown at the coach and a window was cracked.

A man was arrested and the coach continued its journey across London to Euston Station, where the squad caught a train back to Manchester

Carlos Tevez said: 'As for what happened on the bus, that was unfortunate and scary but it can happen anywhere.'

Brazilian midfielder Anderson added: 'A group of people was insulting to us and somebody launched a bottle.'

Chelsea have promised to carry out a full investigation and take the 'appropriate action' against those involved in the incident.

The teams played out an ill-tempered 1-1 draw in west London, which saw seven United players and one Chelsea player booked.

Anderson said: 'I think Chelsea are still a bit concerned with what happened last season.

'I believe that they still remember the Champions League final and as a result the game on Sunday was like no normal league match.

'It was a hard game that I watched from the bench but I think that the number of yellow cards we received was excessive.'
