Wasps get green light for Wycombe

Chris Jones13 April 2012

Wasps captain Lawrence Dallaglio today welcomed news that the club has been given the go-ahead to ground share with Wycombe Wanderers next season.

The club intend to offer transport to take supporters to Adams Park from Loftus Road - the Queens Park Rangers ground they will vacate for two years to allow Fulham to play there.

Wasps will pay half towards Wycombe's new £500,000 Desso pitch and expect a rental bill of £300,000 a year to use the 15,000-capacity stadium.

Dallaglio said: "It's great that a decision has been taken and we have a ground for next season. Now we can get on with selling the corporate side of the club and season tickets."

Wycombe District Council gave their support last night, provided the two parties could suggest a'green transport plan' to reduce the number of cars attending matches.
