Weekend Rugby Focus

Zurich Premiership

Newcastle v Wasps
Kingston Park, Saturday, 2.45pm Tel: 0870 085 6060. Tickets: £13 (£7 concs) standing only
The boys are back in town and regardless of whether World Cup heroes Wilkinson, Dallaglio and Lewsey actually play, a huge turn-out should be guaranteed - if the fans can mob Heathrow at 5am, they can brave the weather for this one. Newcastle should have the edge with the home crowd.
Verdict: WASPS FALL SHORT

Harlequins v Leeds
The Stoop, Saturday, 3pm Tel: 0871 871 8877. Tickets: £12 (£8 concs, £5 under-16s)
Okay, the big clash last weekend turned into a bit of a Bath for Quins, but they'll be keen to put on a show for Big Jase and Will. Leeds are performing in fits and starts this season and Quins should be too good.
Verdict: QUINS WIN WELL

Saracens v Rotherham
Vicarage Road, Sunday, 3pm Tel: 01923 475222. Tickets: £11-£22 (£5-£7 concs) in advance. £1-£3 more on the day
Good news is your international stars coming back; brilliant news is Richard Hill coming back - still the best in the world. Saracens will be jumping for joy - they really need him.
Verdict: SARACENS ON TOP

London Irish v Sale
Madejski Stadium, Sunday, 3pm Tel: 0118 968 1000. Tickets: £18-£25 in advance (£10 concs, £5 under-16s)
A good clash, this, as the underrated Irish get the chance to prove a point or two against a team that many quite fancy this year. May not be pretty, though.
Verdict: IRISH DO A JOB

National League

Orrell v Henley (Nat1)
Edgehall Road, Saturday, 2pm Tel: 0870 11 22 552. Tickets: £8-£9 (£4-£5 concs)
It would be nice to see some hope for Henley here, but that light at the end of the tunnel is, indeed, the oncoming train.
Verdict: HENLEY SUFFER

Coventry v Ldn Welsh (Nat1)
Barker Butts Lane, Saturday, 3pm Tel: 024 7660 1174.
Tickets: £12 (£10 concs, £5 under-16s, free to under-12s)
Pertemps Bees? Who are they, then? The Welsh will travel to Coventry feeling justifiably bumptious after last week's win, but their hosts are no pushover at home.
Verdict: WELSH WIN AGAIN

Esher v Harrogate (Nat2)
Molesey Road, Saturday, 3pm Tel: 01932 220295. Tickets: £8 (free for under-16s)
Esher are way down in the table while Harrogate are way up. And there's no chance of any of that changing this week. Esher will be hoping Park help out against bottom side Lydney.
Verdict: ESHER HAMMERED

Rosslyn Pk v Lydney (Nat2)
Priory Lane, Saturday, 2.30pm Tel: 020 8876 6044. Tickets: £8 (£4 concs, £2 under-16s)
Park know this is their chance to stagger a little further up the table, a little closer to safety. They should be able to manage it.
Verdict: PARK TAKE POINTS

Sedgley Pk v Bracknell (Nat2)
Park Lane, Saturday, 2.30pm Tel: 0161 796 2626. Tickets: £8 (£3 concs)
Bracknell are sitting reasonably comfortably in mid-table, but Sedgley Park are sitting pretty at the top. They will expect to win this game with something to spare.
Verdict: BRACKNELL BEATEN
