Also: Avram Grant was snubbed three times by Chelsea's playing staff in the wake of least weekend's League Cup final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

SUNDAY TIMES: McLaren Mercedes boss Ron Dennis, whose driver Lewis Hamilton is one of the favourites to win this year's Formula One world championship, is likely to step aside this week... Also: Arsene Wenger insisted last night Arsenal were still favourites to win the Premier League, but acknowledged that Manchester United's momentum was such that everybody else expected the title to remain at Old Trafford.

THE INDEPENDENT ON SUNDAY: There are supposed to be no easy games in what many believe to be the world's strongest league, but this was just about as easy as it gets away from home... Also: Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed he will pick Paul Scholes in his team for "sentimental" reasons if Manchester United go on to reach the Champions League final this season.

SUNDAY TELEGRAPH: Arsene Wenger hailed Niklas Bendtner's injury-time equaliser against Aston Villa, which keeps Arsenal top of the table, as "vital" to the outcome of a nailbiting title race... Also: Troubles flared at the Emirates Stadium yesterday after a section of Aston Villa supporters sang sick songs mocking the horrific injury sustained by striker Eduardo last week.
