Williams hails Orient as they make a stand

New face: Geraint Williams replaced Martin Ling as Leyton Orient manager
13 April 2012

Geraint Williams was delighted with the resilience Leyton Orient showed in their 0-0 draw at Tranmere.

Williams, who was appointed manager last week, said: "We had to stand up and be counted and everyone came out with flying colours. I was delighted with the defensive shape. The attitude was fantastic."

Brentford striker Charlie MacDonald scored all the goals in a 3-0 win over Chester City.

He said: "I was on 12 goals for the season before the game and didn't want to just get one - that would have been unlucky - so to get three is very pleasing."

Dagenham came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with promotion-chasing Bury. Jon Nurse fired in on the hour and Ben Strevens struck five minutes later when he pounced on a rebound.
