Wimbledon 2017: Weather forecast for Thursday, July 13

Richard Parry12 July 2017

The good weather is set to continue at SW19 on Thursday when the Women’s Singles semi-finals get under way.

There will be a ‘fresh feel’ in Wimbledon with a fine day, peppered with sunny spells, expected.

No rain is forecast as British No1 Johanna Konta takes on five-time champion Venus Williams on Centre Court in the afternoon, after Magdalena Rybarikova’s match with Garbine Muguruza.

Temperatures are expected to peak at 21 degrees celsius by the time Konta and Williams step onto court.

This good weather is expected to continue for the remainder of the championships, although rain can never be fully ruled out with the humid conditions from the first week set to return to SW19.

Speaking ahead of her semi-final clash Konta, who is the first British woman since Virginia Wade back in 1978 to reach the final four, admitted it will be a ‘special’ day out on Centre Court.

"I guess to be in the semi-finals of my home Slam, and to do that in front of a full Centre Court, I mean, it's pretty, pretty special," said Konta, following her victory over Simona Halep on Tuesday.
