Wise happy to put Harris on spot again

Dennis Wise is sticking with Neil Harris as penalty taker after Millwall missed their last three spot-kicks.

The player-manager has been tempted to take on the responsibility himself and was fortunate none of the failed conversions proved costly.

Kevin Muscat had his spot-kick saved against Tranmere in a 0-0 FA Cup quarter-final at The Den two weeks ago when Harris had been substituted but Millwall won the replay. Then Harris and Tim Cahill, who was given the opportunity to complete his hat-trick, failed to score from penalties on Sunday against West Ham but Wise's side still won 4-1.

The player-manager, whose team can move into the First Division play-off places with a win at Wimbledon tonight, is confident their luck will change soon and is putting his faith in Harris.

Wise said: "We've missed three on the trot but Neil will stay as the penalty taker. He is a confident man and was not bothered about his miss against West Ham. It did not affect his performance and he still chased everything and created opportunities. I didn't want him to hide and he didn't."

Danny Dichio is available after recovering from food poisoning.

The manager, meanwhile, has told his players not to take a win against bottomofthe-table Wimbledon for granted. He said: "This is as big as the game against West Ham or the FA Cup quarter-final. Wimbledon have come up with a couple of shock results this season and we don't want to be another one."
