Wise rejects Rangers

Queens Park Rangers have lost out in their bid to sign Dennis Wise.

The former Millwall player-manager has spurned a move to Loftus Road in favour of Southampton, where he is close to agreeing a one-year deal.

However, Rangers have signed Aston Villa striker Stefan Moore on a three-year deal. The 21-year-old said: "The ambition here matches mine.

I want to play in the Premiership, I don't want to be playing in the Championship for the rest of my days and I think this is the club that can make that jump."
